Since you need to do some kind of mapping, take a look at what a commercial tool can do here or just build your custom tool...when I have a migration where there is a mapping requirement between the source and the destination, I normally talk to my team to build a custom migration tool
No problem to develop a custom but.. what about performances? I mean... surely commercial tool must have some functionality on their side at least to speed up the whole process. Or is just my idea? I never used one of those, except one case, but it was a flat migration...
The vendors have trial versions that you can run tests with, and depending on how much data you have, maybe even get your project completed before the trial expires.
