File/Folder Move Creates Hyperlinks instead of Move

Hi,

We've been observing a little annoying bug that I hoped would get resolved in due time, but it hasn't.

For whatever reason, after some SharePoint Usage, the move file/folder functionality in SharePoint document libraries "breaks" and does not move the selected files/folders, but instead creates a hyperlink in the target folder. 

We've seen the issue with multiple browsers, though Microsoft browser seem to handle this the best.

It is annoying because it's not reproducable (at least not for me), except when you strictly drag the item on the Title column, then it is obvious for me, but not for all normal users.

As a workaround I've suggested to manually pre-select (checkbox on the far left) the items, and drag it on the icon instead on the text column, except sometimes even this fails (this is unreproducable part).

Anyone else experience the same or have some suggestions other than using the move button, which still has size and item limitiations?
