File Relationships
It may sound like an odd question but recently our customers were asking us if in SharePoint Online is possible in having a parent/master file to child file relationship. A use case to help explain this ask from our users is a scenario where you may have a master contract and you are giving a copy of the file to different parties who access their own copy of the file from unique locations. Then having a way to connect the individual unique copies to the master file, perform some sort of aggregation so that the contract details from each party could be seen on the master file. Thank you!
- We have this in the Classic UI with the "Send to" feature...however there is not a replacement in the modern experience for that
Appreciate the response. Yes I have not looked into that feature in quite some time. However, if someone updates a linked copy, those updates will not make it back to the original master file right. The update push is only from the original/master file to those linked copies we choose right?
