Excel online is creating duplicate files
A customer has huge spreadsheet in SharePoint Online that multiple people on the team enter data into. They have noticed that if one member of the team has it open at the same time as another, then it creates a duplicate spreadsheet for the second person; therefore creating a problem as the 2nd person’s data doesn’t save to the master version.
Has anyone heard of this type of problem or have any idea what could cause it?

Is the file XLS or XLSX format? I had a similar issue with XLS files that I resolved by saving the file as XLSX.
