Events webpart not loading

Dear community,

I am trying to add an Events webpart on my newly created SharePoint page, but the webpart does not load. I have waited quite a lot, I tried Chrome and Edge, but it just does not load - in both Edit and published mode.

I see 4 light grey rows blinking and when I move mouse to the area where the webpart should appear it shows "Loading Events", but nothing happens.

Could you please advise what might be the problem?
