Events Web Part - Stop rolling up events from multiple lists?
We are using the Events webpart to show events listed in an Events list on another site.
In fact, that other site contains multiple Events lists.
Current behaviour: The Events web part lists all events from all Events lists on that other site.
Desired behaviour: Have the ability to select which Events list should be used as source (similar as can be done when using Events lists from the current site).
Is this possible? If so, how?

- If you are using the modern Events web part and select multiple sites as the source, you can use the Category filter to select which type of events to pull in. This requires some coordination with the owners of each site but it works very well. The only issue I have seen in practice is that web part doesn’t show you which site the event was rolled up from. We are using this to roll up meeting events from multiple locations and we had to come up with an event naming convention on the location sites so that you can tell which location has the event in the roll up. The convention is Location-Name of Event.
You confirm my thoughts that selecting the exact Events list is not possible and the use of Categories as a workaround. I think we'll move in that direction then.
