Error: The server was unable to save the form at this time. Please try again
Hello,
Recently a SharePoint list is giving the error "The server was unable to save the form at this time. Please try again." when trying to add a new item to the list.
The list was working fine for approx. a year and has not been changed.
The error seems to be triggered by a Person/Group column 'Actiehouder'. If the column is left blank, the item is saved. If a person is selected the error occurs. There is no validation on this column.
At the same time that this error occurred, the ID of new items has changed from '250' to '100000250'.
All help solving my problem will by appreciated! Thank you.

Jeroen_Voortman, I noticed by chance that since today all items which I added without adding a person have now disappeared 😣
But at least it seems that the problem disappeared as well. I can now again add items with a name in a "Person or Group" field. - Frank_M_GermanyCopper Contributor
Jeroen_Voortman, I've exactly the same issue. In addition I can't copy the link to a list item. I get the error message "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'audience')".
- whomeanCopper ContributorSame problem here. The issue has been occurring for several days among random users.

Jeroen_Voortman Same issue here. Some users its fine, Some users clearing the cache works, some users can't save at all.
Using different browsers sometimes works, sometimes using a different computer works for a user. Nothing about this seems logical. - ppmeeddrreeCopper Contributor
Hi,
I have a similar problem.
I have a simple pass list that has been running for a year now. 6 columns no validations. For a month now, users have been reporting to me a problem with randomly saving the list.
Sometimes clearing the cache in the browser helps, but the next day the problem returns.
Anyone have an idea? 😞 - Jeroen_VoortmanCopper ContributorAnother thing that I just notices is that calculated fields are not calculated for the new list items.
- Jeroen_VoortmanCopper ContributorI have just tried to add a new Person/Group column called 'TEST Actiehouder' and although I could create it and select it to be viewed, it does not appear in the view, nor in the edit window.
