Edit macro enabled workbook simultaneously in share point
We have macro enabled excel workbook saved in the share point.
We have 4 users who want to work on this same file simultaneously and make our respective changes at the same time. But only the person who is opening this file first is able to make the changes and other users who try to open the file afterwards receive a pop up message stating the file is in use by another user and if you want to open read only or wait for the notification when the file is ready for use after the first person has closed.
Can someone please advice if this is a limitation where a macro enabled workbook cannot be edited simultaneously that is saved in the share point or if we need to make some changes in settings to solve this issue.
Thanks,
Mudassir

General requirements / help is here:
plus more specific info for Excel is here; macro-enabled workbooks (.xlsm) are supported
You may have to alter library settings for check-in, check-out so that no one person can open a file exclusively and block others from doing so.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your response on this issue. I did go through the link you shared but could not find a solution that stated we can simultaneously edit a macro enabled work book at the same time in share point. I also tried doing the lock In/Out options and some library settings but not solution yet.
The file we have is also in XLSM format that was mentioned in one of the links you shared. We are looking for a workaround where all 4 people can work at the same time on this one file without having to lock any of us while we edit. The reason is, the data is divided into four different sets and each user will edit their own data.
Please let me know if we have a resolution on this issue.
Thanks,
