Duplicating and lagging email notification for SharePoint files

Multiple users in our Tenant are experiencing duplicate and lagged email notification for SharePoint files. E.g. user1 shared a file around 8.30 a.m. yesterday and user2 received first email notification for that file at 2.40 p.m. Since then he has received around 10 duplicate notification for the same file. (Screenshot attached) Several users are reporting the same behavior since yesterday morning. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue in their Tenant?
