Download Power Automate documents from Sharepoint in .msg format
Hello ,
I have created a Power Automate flow to save certain E-mails automatically in Sharepoint. However, when i download them from Sharepoint and want to open them with Outlook i get the following error:
"Microsoft Outlook: We can't open 'C:\Users\max.musermann\Downloads\2024-01-08Re_ Example(l).msg'. It's possible the file is already open, or you don't have permission to open it. To check your permissions, right-click the file folder, and then click Properties."
I am certain i have total access to the document and don't have it open at the same time. Also, when i upload an email personally to the same Sharepoint folder and then download it again, i can open it without a problem. So i think the problem must be related with Power Automate: Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance

Hi paulquitmann - try saving the file as .eml rather than .msg - see this conversation: Solved: Not able to open email (.msg) file locally, create... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
Hope that helps!

- Ideas, but no solid truths - have you tried syncing the library and opening from your File Explorer? Do all of the messages belong to your account? Is the Library set to open files in the browser or the client app?
Maybe mess around with those options?
