Does search trigger FileAccessed in the audit log if the preview is viewed?

We just ran an audit log in Office 365 and it is reporting back that a user accessed files that they are postivie they never opened. They had been inadvertanly been granted access to these files. My question is that if search returned these items in a query and a user was to hover over the document which accesses office online would the preview trigger the fileaccessed flag in the logwhich accesses office online would the preview trigger the fileaccessed flag in the log?
