Documents Opening Online with Chrome and Firefox
I have activated the site collection to default as well as set my library in adv settings to open in client application.
Edge Browser - both Classic and New Experience View opens any Word/Excel file with the desktop client
Chrome - Class experience opens Word/Excel online, New Experience opens with desktop client
Firefox - both Class and New Experience View opens online only.
I have even set my Library List Experience to be "New Experience" to at least default the view to be New so Chrome works but it still shows in Classic and we have to click on the library header to view it in New so that the files can be opened in the desktop client.
I've read the other discussions and many others having this issue but those ones are over 9 months old. Should this not be fixed by now?
My browser experience is generally the same as described above - but sometimes the experience can change from one day to the next.
A pity it has not been fixed.
Same issue here, in ALL browsers. Wondering if features are tested before roll-out (rhetorical question).
