Document Library in Modern UI
Good Day We have a requirement of adding to site pages (modern pages) the documents web part. The purpose is for users to consume the documentation not to make changes or upload files. As such ...
Not possible currently. The best you can do is trim permissions on the files (read only), and turn off settings such as Library Settings > Advanced > offline client to remove the sync button etc. until they add more customization to it.
You can always looks around for custom or create custom spfx web part to render the files listing as you want as well.
