Do outside SharePoint members have to login to Office 365

Hello all,

 

I have created a SharePoint site and added my members however, some of my members have different domains than me, they are part of our parent company, when I invite them there is still a wall that comes up to login into my organization's office 365 account. Do all members of a SharePoint site have to be logged into Office 365?

    Hello Jrey,

     

    By design, this is a security measure to ensure and enforce that the users accessing the resource you have shared with them are authenticated if they are not existing guests in your tenant. What matters most is the external sharing setting on your organization or the specific site which can be confirmed from the SharePoint admin center.
