Displaying Vacant Or Temporary Positions in the Organisation Chart

The organisation chart has more and more presence in Office 365 - initially in SharePoint only this is also in Delve and in the brand new People Cards in the SharePoint modern pages. Any changes we can add to the overall chart vacancies or temporary positions to show the real image of the organisation? We could potentially create dummy users in AD/365 or rename staff leaving, just wanted to know if there is anything more sophisticated than this.
