Disable user requesting more storage from quota limit email

We, like many other business, have our own Help Desk system where all requests should be made.  I've logged a ticket to MS and found that it's not possible to disable the ability to request more storage from the storage quota alert email sent to users.

It would be good to be able to disable this sort of scenario (like we do with SSPR) so that users have to make requests through normal channels.

  • It is now 2023 and I see NO movement on this topic. I am surprised there are not MANY requests for this. We want to control OneDrive storage as well but MS only cares about forcing companies into buying more storage by allowing users to continue to gobble up storage completely un-controlled. Why can't MS actually address these CUSTOMER needs?

tonyinthecloud If its any help to you, what I’ve done is enabled an ExO mail flow rule to intercept any requests for more storage emails and forward them to our ticketing system (Service Now).  I’ve had the SNow admins set up a process to handle the emails and log a ticket to the appropriate area.
