Different permissions for a specific Sharepoint list
Hello
I have a sharepoint list with confidential information in it. Therefore I would like to change the permissions of this list.
I would like that the owners of the sharepoint site still have access to everything.
But the member should only see the rows where they are assigned as project contact and they need the possibility to add new rows.
For example in this example:
row 1 and 2 should only be seen (and possible to be edited) by person 1 and the owners of the site
row 3 should only be seen (and possible to be edited) by person 1 and the owners of the site
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thank you in advance
Louis
In this case, you will have to use the unique permissions at list item level. If you have less number of items, you can manage it manually like mentioned here with advanced permissions settings:
- SharePoint Site Pages Manage Access - Can View Option
- Set Specific User Restrictions on certain pages
You can also automate the permissions management on list item creation/update using Power automate flow. check: Power Automate - Break Inheritance And Set List Item-Level Permissions In SharePoint Online
