Delegate news publishing to another individual
Is there a way to create a news article and have it appear to be published by someone else? For example, many Executives wish to draft their article via eMail, and send it to someone else who would:
- do final editing/proofing
- create the news article in SharePoint
- take care of all the design components
- add page metadata
- determine publish date
- ...
It is important that the news article appear to be authored by the executive, rather than their assistant, or internal design/editing resource.
Essentially, I'm looking for the same thing that Outlook has where you can delegate someone else to perform certain functions on your behalf.

- John WynneSilver ContributorHi Beth, I believe a substantial amount of your requests here will be addressed by forthcoming updates to SharePoint News to be delivered during the rest of 2018. These announcements were made during the SharePoint Conference and if you check out the SharePoint Blogs on this community you can learn more. Copying Mark-Kashman to see if he wants to add anything else. Good news most of this is coming, bad news not all of it is here, at least ‘out of the box’ today. Hope this helps!

Most excellent, thanks John Wynne! I must have missed that one in Vegas, my synapses were overloaded with excitement for Metadata -- so some other key info like this bounced off. ;-)
