Default to the previous item

Hello

I was wondering if there is a way that a form will default its information to the most recent entry. It is only for one column.

For example, in the customer column, the last entry was "Tony". If I open the form, the default value is "Tony". If I type in "Bob", the next time I fill in the form, it defaults to "Bob"

I don't want to use Power Automate to fill these values in after, I'd like them to be visible at the time of completion

Any advice is appreciated

Conn

  • ConnM Unfortunately, this is not possible using SharePoint out of the box capabilities.

You will need to customize list form using Power Apps and then set default value of input control to value from previous list item.
