[Database type Reporting] Databases running in compatibility range, upgrade recommended
Dear All,
How to solve this issue for non-content database in SharePoint 2013 On-Premises? and what's the impact when proceed the upgrade?
See below for details:
Title: Databases running in compatibility range, upgrade recommended.
Severity: 2 - Warning
Category: Configuration
Explanation: The following databases have versions that are older than the current SharePoint software, but are within the backwards compatible range:
ReportingServiceSvc, ReportingServiceSvc_Alerting, ReportingServiceSvcTempDB.
Remedy: To achieve optimal results from these databases, use Upgrade-SPContentDatabase to upgrade Content databases, or psconfig.exe to upgrade other databases. For more information about this rule, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=142697".
Failing Services: SPTimerService (SPTimerV4)
Thanks,
Fahru
- This is not the same. These are for the SSRS databases.
Fahru, unless the SQL team decides to fix this, there's not much that can be done. It *is* ignorable with SSRS, though.

Here's a technet article for the same.
