Current issues we are facing with SharePoint Features rolling out
This is more of an awareness post - but felt it important to share some of the key items we are facing with many new features Microsoft are rolling out that often are not ready for production, badly designed, have legal and compliance implications, and more often than not, no way to disable them (forced on us).
I've submitted a number of UserVoice posts outlining the most significant ones that I feel would relate to most users/companies using SharePoint.
- New Co-Authoring Feature REMOVES Discard Changes
- Legal and Compliance Issue: Customize your individual sites and experiences with fonts and themes [MC905757]
- Management (Governance) for Copilot Agents in SharePoint (Enable/Disable)
- SharePoint brand center Feedback and Feature Requests
- Disable new SharePoint Pages feature from SharePoint Start Experience (M365 Roadmap ID:124824)
- Link on a Page to a PDF should return the user to the Page when they close the PDF, not be redirected to the library the PDF lives
- Open Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in Read only mode by default

grant_jenkins Just to chime in, I really appreciate you, for this post!
I hate that the feedback portal is for reporting bugs, as well as change requests. As a M365 Consultant I really miss having a place, where I can easily see a list of known bugs and reported issues. On top of that, I notice that Microsoft hasn't made any official comments on some of the communities, for more than a year, which makes me wonder if they are even present in there(?)
To add to your list, the whole rollout of the new list experience has been interesting, to say the least. They've had to pull it back multiple times by now and still it's not working. Sometimes I've experienced tenants on Standard Release having new features that Targeted Release users don't and for each rollout I seem to get new random issues, instead of less...
