Creating Web Application Does not Automatically give Farm Account Access to Database!

I created a Web Application in SharePoint 2016 and get the error of "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I took a look at the SQL Server database that was created and noticed that the Farm account was not granted permissions. Any help would be appreciated.
