Create Modern Team Site NOT Linked to a Group
All, Recently we were able to create Modern Team sites and communciations sites NOT linked to an Office 365 Group from the SharePoint Home page "Create Site Function". It seems that has gone away...
The only way to do that is by creating it as a global SharePoint admin. Which you have to transform to modern by enabling features.

Thank you!- And by the way, Communication Sites are not tied to an Office 365 Group...the ability to create modern SPO Team Sites, Communication Sites and Classic SPO Sites is coming to the new SPO Admin Center (currently in preview in First Release tenants)
