Connecting two sharepoint lists

Hi,

I'm trying to create 2 sharepoint lists. One sharepoint list A is a 'parent' and B is a 'child'. What I want from the B list to be able to do is that I want to copy columns from list A, but not the actual data, but only a settings of these columns. So let's say I have a selection column in List A that contains 5 choices, and I want to copy that settings and connect it to the list B, so when I add a 6th choice in the list A, it's automatically added to the List B as well. 

Is it possible?
