Connecting related Documents
Good Day
Wanted in getting general feedback on different options we could follow in SharePoint Online for helping connect/link files that resides in different site collections together. For example one of our divisions has several SharePoint Online sites with a number of documents and some of the documentation in site collection A and our users were asking if there was perhaps a filed or metadata option to connect/link or indicate that a particular file is related to another file in a different site collection. Thanks!

- It really depends on how you want to provide access to those files, but one way based on Metadata (or even in Content Types) could be to use Search for this purpose so you can show documents that have a specific metadata as you well mention on another sites
