Confirming the following action
Greetings,
I'm trying to confirm some behavior on the underlying SharePoint site in order to troubleshoot a more complex issues. Essentially, when I click on the follow 'star' on the homepage of the root collection, I get you're following but no change to the indication. Is this normal? I've confirmed that in the list of sites, I am following and going to the documents page the upper right shows I'm following.

- Correct, on a modern SPO site the Folow "action" does not show an indication the site has been succesfully followed...you know you are following it because the site will apperar also in the SPO landing page
Well, you should see the following star get filled in after you've clicked it. And when I go to SharePoint Home, the star is filled in for sites I'm following vs outlined for frequent/not following. I see that consistently on all my sites - classic, modern teams and modern comm sites. But there's no change to the site other than the being star filled in.
You should see the filled in star on the individual sites as well.
