A follow up question for you: is there any way enable notifications or some sort of (good looking) report that could be sent to community members on a regular basis to help promote participation in a SP Community?

Dawid Zych, Thanks! That's a very helpful link. I've checked all of the settings, however there are no notificaitons taking place. Is this something that the O365 admin may have turned off?
