Communication site 'Name' is currently editing this page. Please try again later.
We are unable to edit a page on our SharePoint Communication Site. It states that 'name' is currently editing the page. Please try again later.
The person named is not editing the site, I have even tried removing the user from the site but still unable to edit page.
Any ideas?
Site Contents > Site Pages > check the page and select remove checkout.

- Open the Page library. Locate the affected page in the list. Is it checked out? (I assume not)
What other information about the page can you provide us with? (Modifed By, Modified, Content Type, etc.)
Open the Page library setting, go into Manage files which have no checked in version - can you see the affected page in there? If you can, can you take ownership of it?

You can also take ownership of the page without losing current user update. you can take ownership from pages library settings
