Column in Sharepoint is auto-populating from another column

Hi, I have created a simple list to control product requests and I have edited the form in the PowerApps. In one of the columns I have the request type and in another one I have the status of the request. After completing and saving the form, when you open the item again the column status is showing the exact same thing as the request type column. When I click to edit I can see the drop-down menu is correct, but it keeps doing the same. Am I missing something here?

Can you check the Default property of data card related to Status column and Default or DefaultSelectedItems property of drop down related to Status column?

These properties should be correctly mapped with your Status column and not with Request Type column.
