changing compatibility level for SharePoint Content Database

Hi All

My name is Akira Sekine.

I have a quesion on changing the database compatibility level for a content database.  I have 2 tier SharePoint Server (16.0.4351.1000) and the database server (SQL 2016) but the in the property of the SQL instance, it shows Compatibility Level : SQL server 2008 (100) but I would like to upgrade this compatibility to SQL Server 2016 (130). I have checked the article on below

ALTER DATABASE compatibility level (Transact-SQL) - SQL Server | Microsoft Learn
found SQL Server 2016 is compatible with 130 to 100.

Is there any side effects on changing the above compatibility?

Thanks in advance

The intention of the quetion is chaning the compatibility triggers any side effects on the current contents already added to SharePoint site.
