Change in the Highlighted content webpart?

Hi All, I've recently noticed the Highlighted content webpart started to put in the whole image from the news pages, when rolling up news, instead of the usual snippet it does. Was this intentional? I hope it's just a bug because this is a really great feature, and if we can't really control the icon of the news article this is already a pita, but if it streatches like this it's even worse :). Thanks!
