Change in links to PowerPoint presentations from SharePoint
We have noticed a change in the URLs that are used when opening a PowerPoint presentation from a SharePoint online document library in PowerPoint online.
URLs used to be in this format:
They are now in this format:
The 'problem':
The WopiFrame.aspx page had an ellipsis (...) in the top right corner which allowed for easy retrieval of the embed code. This new doc.aspx page does not, requiring to click FILE > Share > Embed.
The questions:
- Is there any setting that allows you to set the default link behaviour back to the WopiFrame.aspx page?
- Can changes like these be communicated in advance through the Office 365 admin message center?
