Can't open pdfs in SharePoint using IE

Hi, I'm trying to open a PDF stored in SharePoint through IE but the PDF never opens. I just end up with a blank screen. If I download the pdf to my desktop I can open it. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to open them in SharePoint?
