Can't add properties to files
We are using SharePoint online and the following issue popped up this morning. Wondering if anyone else is seeing it before I raise a ticket. When a file is uploaded to one of our Libraries to goes ...
Attached are 2 screen shots
The first is is when I click on the elpissis. This is as far as I can go. The second elpissis is not clickable.
The second is when I try to do a check-in as the Admin. I expect this as the required Metadata isn't applied.
In addition the More selection at the top of the list is unavaible
I've reproduced your problem.
For documents things work fine but for emails there seems to be an issue with the hoverpanel. I noticed that you are using the classic look for the library. If you use the modern look then youcan edit properties for emails as well.
The problem started today. Guess I'll have to raise a ticket.

We don't use the modern look as it doesn't seem to work correctly. It won't display our Libraries correctly. At times we only half of the data displayed.
Microsoft was working on this months ago but hasn't said if they fixed the issue.
The Modern Libraries have changed a lot over the past two months. It might be worth it to give it another try.
Do you give your users the option to user either interface?
We do not give the users the option to select a "view".
I have it set in SharePoint Admin center to the classic experience. Will give it another try.
General question - if I select the new experience how long does it take to apply across the tenant, generally speaking????
