Cannot share sharepoint files when i've opened it via file explorer.

Hi,

I use to be able to open up my file explorer, open up a file from the mapped sharepoint site and share it without me having to upload the file on to my personal one drive account. I don't want to to keep having to give people permission to view and if they edit it, it dont edit on the same file on the team sharepoint. Can this be chnaged?
