Cannot see Office365 Owner groups on SharePoint Online Interface

Hi,

I am a Site Collection Admin in a SharePoint site. When I try to add an Office365 owner group to Site Collection admin as part of configuring the SharePoint site and giving the owner group the site collection admin rights, I cannot see all the available groups. I mostly see the “Member” group but not the “Owner” group. What’s the reason? Any suggestions?
