Cannot open sharepoint files in app depending on date
- Oct 14, 2022
This is my soul opinion, if in your old computer works, should work on the new one, we agree on it.
The ONLY reason I see it, don't forget to read the Microsoft 365 Roadmaps in your subscription as ADMIN, is both computers have different policies.
Make sense to you?

No, these are all files that I created myself over a long period of time.
I uploaded them into SharePoint libraries to make sure I can access them from anywhere.
No problem with my old laptop...- Joao LivioOct 09, 2022Iron Contributor
What type of files?
One think in the equation is tou have a new laptop and a new Office Version. Laptops are managed by your company, and a new version of Office might change from 32bits to 64 or the opposite.
So the only thing I see it is you have macros pointing for 32 or 64 that are incompatible or you have new restrictions on your new laptop.
- Joern_SchrammOct 09, 2022Copper ContributorThis refers to all types of files: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX
The old laptop was running Office 365 at 64 bit just like the new one. No macros involved.
I am a freelancer, so there is no administrator involved except myself. No settings changed. I have a third laptop with Windows 11 (just for test purposes) and everything runs well on this one, too.
