Can we set private IP or IP range in [access control] ?
Hello everyone!
I want to ask that can I set private IP range in [Control access based on network location] below ???
※I don’t think the example of above ip range 192.198.1.0/16 is private IP range…because of this is a C class IP address, subnet mask should be equal or greater then 24… but this is 16...
I want to ask the following questions:
1.This location must be set by Public IP address Am I right?
2.Does the entries of IP address and IP range have a limited number? If have please tell me the max quantity, And does this IP range: 192.168.1.0/16 is counted by one entry? as the same as one IP address?
Thankyou.
- You can use public or private IP Address ranges....look at the following support article: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/control-access-to-sharepoint-online-and-onedrive-data-based-on-defined-network-locations-b5a5f1f1-1174-4c6b-91d0-9273a6b6971f
