Can we allow auto login to sharepoint online using users' windows domain usernames

We have office 365 tenant Enterprise E3, and we want to do the following:-

1. Create a sharepoint home site for our company such as https://ourcomapny.sharepoint.com/.

2. Then to update all the users' browsers' home pages to the intranet url.

3. So when the users login to their windows machines and they open a web browser the the intranet home page will open automatically.

But one issue we will be facing is that, users will have to login to office 365 and accept the 2 factor authentication (as we have it enabled for all end users).

so my question is if there is a way to force automatic login to the sharepoint site using the users' windows credential (using the domain accounts)? in other word when the users access this url https://ourcomapny.sharepoint.com/ to force the sharepoint site to read the username/password from the login user (similar to how windows authentication works in asp.net traditional authentication)

//Hint. all our users use windows7, windows 8 and most of them use windows 10.

Thanks

  • This is something you could do with domain joined PCs so the SSO is provided at the moment they make a login in their PCs
