Can I create a button on VB form app to check-in or check-out documents on sharepoint?

I have a VBA form app which has several buttons that I created to link and open all the SharePoint websites which has excel data sheets. Is it possible to create button on my original forms app to check-in and check-out the excel sheets instead of doing the same on SharePoint or opening the excel as desktop app itself?
