Bug with "text above title" in latest SPO release?

I have a custom SPFx web part that filtered items in Site Pages by the "text above title" which is also known as the Topic Header column.  When looking at Site Pages, you can view this column and if you had pages published prior to the latest release of SharePoint, whatever you had as the "text above title" would appear in the Topic Header field for the page in the list view.  However, since that deployment, if you re-publish an existing page or publish a new page, even if the "text above title" is there, the Topic Header field is empty now.

Additionally, my previous filter in the API (OData_TopicHeader eq xxx) now no longer returns pages that used to return fine.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and does anyone know of a workaround or any posts from MS on this that I can review?
