Audience Targeting for News not working at Hub Site level

Hey,
I have the same problem for our Hub Site. I have Audience Targeting enabled on the Hub Site and the associated sites. I use a News Widget and enabled Audience Targeting in this widget. It was working in the past until now while "all sites" radio button was enabled in the widget. I tried to change it to "selected sites" and select all sites in my hub network, but it still does not seem to work.
Does anyone have a working solution he/she can offer? I would really appreciate it.
