Anonymous sharing links for folders cease to work

can you check if you have the lockdown feature active on the site ? if so you will need to disable it
It's the first time I come across this lockdown. There must be a zillion buttons you have to press to configure (anonymous) sharing.
Is the lockdown feature automatically enabled on a publication site collection? I guess most of the time we used the anonymous links from non-puyblishing site collections.
It's rather confuing that you can generate an anonymous sharing link while it won't work :-(

MicrosoftYes, by default its enabled on publishing.
By default also when you try to share a folder under those conditions you should get a popup warning saying the lockdown feature is active.
