Allow Organizational Asset Libraries across multiple Sites

Organizational Asset Libraries are a really cool feature for SharePoint. Particularly the Document Templates feature. When I show this to my clients it is their number one feature, and so simple to implement.

The problem is that we can't have Org Asset Libraries that sit in multiple sites, however, this doesn't recognise that for a lot of organisations, Templates will need to go through some formal document controls whereas Images are generally managed by a Marketing function.

The not very elegant workaround is to manage the Templates in a formal document management site, and have Images stored as a separate library in this site. However, it would be more intuitive to allow Marketing people to manage Images and simple branded letterheads in a site that is separate from a formal document management system

Generally, the Templates are far more beneficial to end users than having access to an Images library (until Microsoft choose to make these org asset images appear directly within PowerPoint...that would be awesome). This tends to be the driver for which site is configured as an organisational asset site, however, it does lead to some awkward conversations with business people having to explain that their slightly convoluted structure is due to technical limitations.

It would be great if Microsoft would update us on the roadmap for Organisation Asset Libraries, in particular:

 - Is there a plan to allow multiple org asset sites (even more important in larger, multi-regional organisations)?

 - Is there a plan to allow Images to become available in PowerPoint (similar to Stock Images)?
