Alert me function not available at page when searched for page
Alert me function not available when searched for page
1. If you go to Site contents and click on the 3 dots behind the page name, there is an Alert function.
2. When you go to Site contents and search in the searchbox and then click on the 3 dots, the Alert function is not available?
Also as Site Owner, when I click on the Alert function (option 1) then I don't see other users that have alerts on the page?
You are correct, some of the options in context menu (when you click on ... ) are not available when you see the pages in "Search Results" mode. This is a SharePoint default functionality/limitation at the moment and unfortunately, you cannot customize this behavior.
If you want Microsoft to change this behavior, you can try adding new feedback/idea on: SharePoint Feedback Portal
If you want to see all the alerts on the SharePoint site, you should go to: Site Settings --> User Alerts page. You can access this page directly using the URL in this format:
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/MySite/_layouts/15/sitesubs.aspx
