After team site and communication site ...
The new modern sites all look great! I now have a place for my data on the traditional team sites and a place for the information from my publishing sites.
But does anybody know what will happen to the site at https://tenant.sharepoint.com quite often this site is seen as 'the intranet' or portal. Will this site get a fresh new look too? Will this be a communication site, a team site, stick to the old style or something completely new?

- Once/If you get the option to create a Comms site from the SharePoint admin centre (which I hope comes with the new interface) you should just be able to delete the the root site and re-create it using an admin site template
- One can only hope :P
I think it would be very convenient to provide an option (and make it the default) to make tenant.sharepoint.com point to "SharePoint Home"... Usually we don't implement a site in the tenant's root site collection anyway, just leaving it empty or provide some form of navigation to the major sites in our tenant, just to put something there...
