Advanced Permissions option removed from SharePoint on a Teams connected site?

Just seen this for the first time. The ability to manage permissions in SharePoint is not available on a Teams connected site? What about all the unique permissions on the site? And all the access requests? How must that get managed now? Even if I wangle the URL to get to the permissions screen, the options are no longer available. You can at least get to access requests. But that does not solve this problem. Please advise.
