Administering O365 Group sites
How do I acess the Sharepoint group sites? They seem to be hidden within the regular SP admin portal, and even after reading this thread I'm still not sure how to see them in Powershell.
I'm trying to update a list on one of our group sites to show item attachments in the list. Apparently this requires using Sharepoint Designer, and I get a 403 connecting to the Group site URL, even though I am global admin for our tenant.
- Brent EllisSilver ContributorMake yourself a Site Collection Admin to the Group site first.
Set-SPOUser -Site $siteUrl -LoginName $AdminAccount -IsSiteCollectionAdmin $true | Out-Null- Michael WadeCopper ContributorI've done that, but it didn't fix the issue. I've got a support ticket open with MS. The T1 guy has escalated to the engineering department. I'm not convinced that these Group sites are full fledged SP sites. I don't see any templating options available, even the settings page seem to be missing several options like permissions.
- Brent EllisSilver Contributorah, they 100% are not full fledged SP sites.
I have been referring to them as "SharePoint Lite" - stolen from someone else
I havent tried to connect to a Group site with SPD yet, i would hope/assume it is supported, would be interested to learn more about your resolution.
