Adding clickable SVG file to SharePoint online

Hello,

I created a clickable SVG file in Inkscape and need to incorporate it into my SharePoint Online site, but it does not seem like I am doing it correctly.  I have tried adding it as an image app, and embedding the SVG code, but they all fail.  I have spent time searching this, but I am not finding much, and I can't believe that I can open the SVG file with a browser but not with SharePoint.  Any guidance?
