Adding a information ticker / banner to a Home SharePoint site
Hi,
Was wondering if there is a way a ticker / banner can be added to our organisation home SharePoint Online site to inform users of potential system outages.
I've seen in other blogs that there is an app called announcement but cannot find in the app store??
dave-39421857 open the web part pane from the grey + in the middle of a section and it's in the News, people and events section.
Once you have published/promoted a page as a news post it will appear in the web part.

Chris_Clark1968 if you are using the modern SharePoint experience there is no news ticker web part available. You can either (as we do at my company) use the news web part or there is an SPFx extension here.
